Kelly Lang is in charge of HKMB’s Executive Protection and Professional Liability Practice. His professional specialties include General Partner and Limited Partnership Liability, U.S. Traded Public Companies, Representations and Warranties and Private Equity.
Kelly's speaking engagements have included presentations at the Canadian Bar Association AGM, the national conference of the Canadian Venture Capital Association, and presentations to faculty and students of the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University.
He authored the article entitled "Who Really Controls Your Directors & Officers Insurance?" for the Institute of Corporate Directors newsletter.
Kelly obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from York University in 1990. He has his A.I.I.C. designation from the Insurance Institute of Canada and Certified Risk Management designation from the University of Toronto. He completed the executive development program at York University's Schulich School of Business in 1999. Kelly joined HKMB in 1994. His prior experience included Senior Underwriting Account Representative at Continental Insurance in Toronto, Vancouver and Ottawa.
He is also a director and Treasurer of the Stonegate Community Health Association. Stonegate seeks to improve the health of its clients by enhancing food security, early childhood education and access to housing.
