Assistant secretary
Following a 17-year career in public accounting, Rick White has moved through a series of increasingly challenging senior management positions in medium and large-sized corporations throughout North America. His diverse experience in finance, acquisitions, investments, telecommunications and technology, combined with a proven track record in administration make him a valued addition to the partnership team at HKMB HUB International.
Upon graduation from McGill University, Rick received his C. A. designation in 1967. He was later named a Partner at Thorne Riddell (now KPMG) in 1975 where he led a large client group along with National responsibilities in Training. As Executive Vice President of the Coinamatic Group, Rick engineered a series of acquisitions which made the company the leading coin-operated laundry systems provider in Canada and one of the three largest in North America.
Along the way, Rick has gained hands-on experience with privately owned businesses as Executive Vice-President, CFO of the ALC Group; a leading lighting products distributor, and as sole proprietor of a direct marketing company in office and point of sale products.
The lure of technology attracted him to the dramatically changing telecommunications world where he was Vice President Administration at AT&T Canada (MetroNet Communications Corp.), followed by a challenge in Southern California as Senior Vice President Corporate, of FutureLink Corp., North America's leading integrator of server based computing systems.
His knowledge of a variety of business sectors and his expertise in acquisitions combined with his demonstrated abilities in technology innovation and administrative efficiency are valuable assets for HKMB HUB.
Rick has two grown children, and shares his love of golf and travel with his wife Chrysta.
