Senior Vice President & Partner
manages a commercial practice area that has extensive expertise in Auto Parts Manufacturing, Beer & Alcohol manufacturing & distribution, U.S. & International operations, and complex Liability risks. John is directly involved in servicing a number of major commercial accounts.
Before joining HKMB in 1992, John was a Vice-President in the Canadian operations of an international broker. He worked there for 15 years in a variety of capacities.
With 30 years experience as an insurance broker, John has had extensive involvement with a variety of industries including manufacturing, distribution, retail and transportation, as well as sports, entertainment, and hi-tech. He also has extensive experience with international risks, as well as Directors & Officers Liability insurance.
John obtained his B.A. in Economics from the University of Western Ontario and has earned the Canadian Certified Insurance Broker (C.C.I.B.) designation. John served as a Director on the Board of the Toronto Insurance Brokers Association (TIC) for 5 years and is HKMB’s licensed representative in many of Canada’s provinces & territories.
John is actively involved in his community and he and his wife live in Toronto with their daughter and son.
