Chief Executive Officer

Neil is HKMB HUB’s CEO and Principal Broker. He chairs the firm’s Management Committee and is a member of the HUB International Executive Committee.

After graduating university, Neil went to work for Continental Corp., an international insurance company, as a commercial underwriter, relationship manager and later as Group Leader. In 1989, he joined Guthrie Keilty Bickerstaff Limited, a Toronto based general insurance brokerage and, in 1994, with partners Greg Belton, John Hawkrigg, Rob Keilty and Gordon Spafford, purchased the firm to form Keilty Muntz & Beatty Limited. At KMB, Neil managed and developed a portfolio of commercial and construction accounts still serviced by HKMB today.

Neil recently became the first Canadian to be elected to the Board of Directors of The Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers (the Council or CIAB) which represents the world's leading commercial insurance brokers -- only the top 1% of brokers and agents qualify for membership. Neil recently sat on the Board of Directors of the Toronto Insurance Conference, is an elected member of the executive of the Worldwide Broker Network (WBN) and chaired the 2007 Toronto and Western Hospital Foundation's Legacy Golf Tournament. Previously, Neil served on the Board of Junior Achievement and the Insurance Political Action Committee in Ontario.

Neil has spoken at the Annual Canadian Finance and Leasing Association General meeting, the annual ABS Securitization Conference, is quoted in industry publications and is actively involved in the insurance and surety community.

Neil grew up in Montreal, speaks French and obtained his Honours Degree in Economics from Queen’s University at Kingston, Ontario. He is married, has two children, lives in Toronto, enjoys a variety of recreational activities and travels extensively both on HKMB business and for personal interest.
