Neilis President and CEO of HUB International HKMB | Ontario, one of HUB International’s largest regional hubs. In addition, he was recently appointed Chairman of HUB Internacional Latin America and tasked with overseeing HUB’s expansion in that region. He is a member of the HUB International Executive Committee.
Neil is actively involved in the insurance and surety community in Canada and internationally. He is the current Chairman of the Worldwide Broker Network (WBN), an integrated insurance services network of 70 privately held brokerages located in the Asia/Pacific region, Europe, the Middle East, North and South America, that facilitates the placement and servicing of global controlled insurance programs for multi-national companies. He is also the first Canadian to be elected to the Board of Directors of The Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers (the Council or CIAB) on which he served from 2006 to 2008 Headquartered in Washington, DC, The Council represents the world's leading commercial insurance brokers -- only the top 1% of brokers and agents qualify for membership.
Neil is often quoted in industry publications and asked to speak at industry events. He has also spoken at the Annual Canadian Finance and Leasing Association General meeting and the annual ABS Securitization Conference.
After graduating (Queens University, Economics), Neil went to work for Continental Corp., an international insurance company, as a commercial underwriter, relationship manager and later as Group Leader. In 1989, he joined Guthrie Keilty Bickerstaff Limited, a Toronto based general insurance brokerage and, in 1994, with partners Greg Belton, John Hawkrigg, Rob Keilty and Gordon Spafford, purchased the firm to form Keilty Muntz & Beatty Limited. At KMB, Neil managed and developed a portfolio of commercial and construction accounts still serviced by HKMB HUB today.
Neil has chaired the Toronto and Western Hospital Foundation's Legacy Golf Tournament and, previously, served on the Board of Junior Achievement and the Insurance Political Action Committee in Ontario.
Neil grew up in Montreal, speaks French and obtained his Honours Degree in Economics from Queen’s University at Kingston, Ontario. He has two children, lives in Toronto and enjoys a variety of recreational activities.
