Chief Executive Officer
Neil is President and CEO of both HKMB HUB International and HUB International Ontario. He chairs a combined Executive Committee for both firms and is a member of the HUB International Executive Committee. HUB International is Canada’s largest insurance broker.
After graduating university, Neil went to work for Continental Corp., an international insurance company, as a commercial underwriter, relationship manager and later as Group Leader. In 1989, he joined Guthrie Keilty Bickerstaff Limited, a Toronto based general insurance brokerage and, in 1994, with partners Greg Belton, John Hawkrigg, Rob Keilty and Gordon Spafford, purchased the firm to form Keilty Muntz & Beatty Limited. At KMB, Neil managed and developed a portfolio of commercial and construction accounts still serviced by HKMB HUB today.
Neil recently became the first Canadian to be elected to the Board of Directors of The Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers (the Council or CIAB). Headquartered in Washington, DC, The Council represents the world's leading commercial insurance brokers -- only the top 1% of brokers and agents qualify for membership. Neil is an elected member of the executive of the Worldwide Broker Network (WBN), an integrated insurance services network of 70 privately held brokerages located in the Asia/Pacific region, Europe, the Middle East, North and South America, that facilitates the placement and servicing of global controlled insurance programs for multi-national companies.
Neil has chaired the Toronto and Western Hospital Foundation's Legacy Golf Tournament and, previously, served on the Board of Junior Achievement and the Insurance Political Action Committee in Ontario.
Neil has spoken at the Annual Canadian Finance and Leasing Association General meeting, the annual ABS Securitization Conference, is quoted in industry publications and is actively involved in the insurance and surety community.
Neil grew up in Montreal, speaks French and obtained his Honours Degree in Economics from Queen’s University at Kingston, Ontario. He has two children, lives in Toronto and enjoys a variety of recreational activities.
