HUB International HKMB and HUB International TOS are pleased to offer an insurance program that provides coverage for Personal Trainers, Fitness Instructor Specialists, Group/ Class Fitness Instructors, Yoga Instructors, Pilates Instructors, Sport Conditioning Specialists, Wellness and Nutrition Specialists, Aquatic Fitness Trainers, Pre and Post Natal Fitness Specialists, Squash Instructors and Tennis Instructors that are certified by one of our approved certifying bodies.
If you wish to teach ZUMBA you must purchase a Dance Instructors Insurance Policy. The Fitness Insurance program does not cover ZUMBA, unless you are certified through our eligible certifying bodies to instruct in ZUMBA.

The program is restricted as follows:
- Instructor eligibility:
- Over 18 years of age
- Canadian Resident
- MUST BE CERTIFIED WITH ACE, ACSM, Baby & Me Fitness, Body Harmonics, CANFITPRO, CALA, CCAA, CFES, CPTN, Downward Dog Yoga Centre (Modules 1 & 2), Fletcher Pilates, Helene Roy Pilates, IDEA, International Society of Yoga Education (ISYE), International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), Maureen Rae's 8-Week Internship Program, Maureen Rae's RYT, National Academy of Sports Medicine, OASES, OFC, Ontario Yoga Association, Peakes Pilates, Pilates Method Alliance (PMA), PTA Global, The Pilates Process, Sattva Yoga Shala and United Yoga Montreal, Second Wind Pilates Plus, Squash Canada, STOTT PILATE, Tennis Canada, YMCA/ YWCA, Yoga Alliance or Yoga Association of Alberta (YAA), YogaFit Canada, Yoga Source & Therapy Studio (Yoga Only) OR
- MUST BE a Provincially Registered Personal Trainer of the following NFLA (National Fitness Leadership Alliance) member provinces certified by the BCRPA, AFLCA, Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association (SPRA), MFC, MFLDA, OFC, FNB, NFLAC, NSFA, IFC.
- Individual policies are effective as of the date of purchase and extend for 12 months
- Premium is fully retained upon acceptance of payment (i.e., the premium will not be refunded if the policy is cancelled by the insured prior to its expiry date)
- Coverage applies only to Canada
- Coverage is NOT available for instruction of:
- professional athletes
- carded amateur athletes or
- activities for which you are not certified by one of our approved certifying bodies (noted above).
- Coverage does not extend to work related rehabilitation of any condition
- Coverage is not extended to tanning beds
- In addition, you are required to confirm that;
- All trainees under your instruction complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire once per year;
- All trainees under your instruction required to complete a PARmed-X have done so and ALL doctor’s recommendations are followed
- When biking, all trainees under your instruction wear helmets and, if biking between dusk and dawn, wear reflective clothing, have their bicycle equipped with lights and have the lights turned on.

CLASS 1: For Registered Personal Trainers of the Following Provincial Associations that are members of the NFLA through BCRPA, AFLCA, Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association (SPRA), MFC, MFLDA, OFC, FNB, NFLAC, NSFA, IFC. NOTE: Basic fitness leaders already have automatic coverage through the BCRPA, MFC, FNB and NSFA
